Throughout the first quarter of 2024, the top Maps and Navigation applications on Android in Australia showcased varied performance trends in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data, courtesy of Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 7.1K in early January and peaking at about 13.1K in mid-February. Weekly active users saw fluctuations but generally trended upward, reaching around 365K by the end of March.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a spike in weekly downloads, peaking at 13.5K in the last week of March. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 74K by the end of the quarter.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides showed a steady increase in downloads, reaching a high of approximately 10.3K in late January. Active users also saw an upward trend, peaking at around 143K in mid-March before slightly decreasing towards the end of the quarter.
